Edgey Veggies
This is Edgy Veggies. The goal is to kill as many fruits as possible and not let them get by you. If they do, a death wall slowly comes toward you. We aimed for specific arcade characteristics, such as replayability, challenge, and to be simple yet engaging. The increasing speed of enemies makes the game tantalizing and puts pressure on the player to perform better as the game progresses. This makes the game challenging, as the difficulty will increase the more you play. The game has an easy-to-grasp concept and makes it clear to players what they need to do. However, the simple mechanics also add an entertaining aspect, keeping the player hooked throughout the entire experience.

My Role
This project was part of Sheridan College’s Program Wide Design Challenge for the game design students. My team and I created this prototype project under the Design Challenge’s criteria, and teams were randomly selected. Teams are given 4 days to design, test and polish a playable prototype.
While working on the project with my team, I took on the role of Co-Team Lead and I was also one of the team’s Programmers. Our team did not have many members that felt comfortable in programming. I took this as a chance to practice my programming skills, and I was able to program most of the game’s functionality. This game was developed in the Unity Engine.
